DECOR + DESIGN 2019 EVENT GUIDE
WHEN & WHERE
The event will be co-located with the Australian International Furniture Fair at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre (it’s a free trade only event!) from July 18th to 21st. A visit at the event is worthy of your time considering that the precedent edition has been a real success: over 11,500 design and retail buyers – only from Australia – were present at the 2018 edition while 350 major exhibitors gave their contribution with the latest trends and innovative design products.

If discovering the future trends is your visit’s purpose, you can’t miss the Trend Hub, the design-centric sector where inspirations are more than welcome. Meet with interior designers and industry experts for a stimulating brainstorming; instead, if you need to recharge and relax for a little bit, the Trend Champagne Lounge is the perfect place, where everyone will chill with a glass of champagne and mingle with other visitors (because creativity and innovation never sleep!). Don’t forget the Daily Trend Tours in the company of the Futurists Victoria Redshaw & Phil Pond: seeing the 2019 and 2020 interior trends and the related product through their expert eyes will be the go-to activity of the event!
DESIGN LANEWAY & WALL STREET
Since the beginning, Décor + Design has always been interested in helping young designers and gifted artists to grow their professional status. Design Laneway is the major platform for independent studios, textile designers and surface artists to grow and express their potential: here micro-productions and original collections of ceramics, lighting, furniture and home interior products will be under the spotlight; it’s the best way for a young designer to let himself be known in an informal situation but still in an official design event. Wall Street, instead, is a forum in which surface and textile artists can convene and expose large-format visual within the same category. The fastest way to let your work be seen by who counts!

WORKSHOP | FROM FACADES TO FLOORING – HOW TO CREATE MOODS BOARDS AND SCHEMES FOR MODERN AUSTRALIAN HOMES

The award-winning interior designer, TV presenter, and writer James Treble will provide his expertise in this workshop as a qualified real estate agent and color consultant. If you have a home renovation project that gives you troubles, this workshop will give you all the practical tips in creating color schemes and finishing schedules – with a focus on bathrooms and kitchens. Mood boards and palettes will never seem so easy with his help and financial expertise on how to tackle a project.

The world-renowned interior designer Diane Bergeron is an important figure in the design world with projects and collaborations spanning from Architectural Digest, Vogue Living, House and Garden, Living Etc. UK, and Belle. The seminars will see the participation of Tanya Buchanan, Editor-in-Chief of Australian House & Garden and will be a great way to reach useful insights of the Diane Bergeron method: from how to create a Powder Room to how to set the perfect Dining Table, she will bring her own project as visual examples.
