My Design Agenda wants to congratulate Porada, an icon of Italian Design Elegance, for their 70th Birthday! It was at Maison et Objet 2018 in Paris and Imm 2018 in Cologne that this popular Italian company decided to celebrate their Birthday. What better place to celebrate seventy years of design then in two of the most popular design events in the world? Join us and let’s find out what Porada presented at Maison et Objet and Imm!
Seventy years are already gone and much more are to come. With deep enthusiasm and pride, Porada launched the celebrations of its 70th anniversary in Cologne and Paris, the first two design expositions of the new year.
At these two prestigious events, Porada presents their Seventeen Collection. This collection gives the audience an idea of how a Porada homes look like: warm, elegant and cosy at the same time.
The huge Kirk sofa composition is the main character in the living room while Thayl and Fuji are the spectacular tables that make unique the dining room. A special space at Maison et Objet and Imm was dedicated to Patrick Jouin’s collection for Porada with Trunk table, Ella chair and Louis armchair, designed by the talented French designer exclusively for Porada.
In the chic and contemporary night area, the Nyan Bed was the leading piece, presented with the Bayus bedside tables. Soft and light colours with hints of sage green generate a sophisticated atmosphere, inspired by the past but with the allure of a contemporary home. A welcoming space where everyone can create his own place, surrounded by the harmony of furniture characterized by a rounded shapes aesthetic.
In 1948, Luigi Allievi’s passion for wood and his forward‐looking bravery gave birth to the stylish brand Porada. Generations have come over the years and many goals have been achieved, but the passion for this work never changed. That’s why Porada is one of the best and oldest European brands of interior design still in existence!
